A permanent flame retardant textile refers to a type of technical fabric intended to prevent the spread of fire. It has the main characteristic that its flame retardant properties are found in the materials of its composition. That is, they do not depend on a special process finish or treatment.
To achieve this type of flame retardant fabric, its manufacture is based on weaving directly with yarns composed of already flame retardant fibers. Therefore, we can say that this type of textiles has inherent properties.
It is important to note that this fire retardant property remains unchanged over time. This means that it is resistant to the amount of washing that the textile undergoes. A fabric developed with flame retardant fibers will maintain its ability to react to fire in the same way.
What is and how permanent flame retardant fabric is made
