Textile Trends (part 3): printings, textures and color

We end the series of 3 posts in which we put in value for the next year some textile trends (part 3): printings, textures and color. After talking about printings coming back and textures’ role, in this post we will talk about color.

The first thing we will highlight is the Color Pantone of the Year, which for 2023 is the Viva Magenta 18-1750. We recommend you to consult this recent post in which we highlight the motives that expose this suggestive color, which will give much to talk about.

Post recommended: Color of the year 2023 according to Pantone: Viva Magenta 18-1750

Another color option, which is already having a great prominence, we will see the range of colors earth. It is one of the clearest trends, ranging from beige to brown, through tile and copper tones. This is, without a doubt, one of the favorite palettes when decorating our homes or workspaces.

The shades of brown, smoked, mole, cinnamon, coffee, mink, paprika, cognac or caldera, among others, inspire warmth and authenticity. These are values that are proclaimed after the entire period of upheaval experienced with the arrival of the pandemic. And, to look for contrast, we can combine some brushstrokes of Viva Magenta.

On the other hand, in addition to this palette, in 2023 we will see dark colors, not only in accessories or pieces of furniture, but also in walls, floors and ceilings. The dark tones, may seem a risky bet, but well posed and subtle, allow to project very elegant environments.
